ARRI WCU-4 3-Axis Unit - Rent a Radio Focus with Motors

The ARRI WCU-4 Wireless Compact Unit is a 3-axis wireless handheld unit with a built-in lens data display. It works with the ALEXA Plus and Studio cameras and the UMC-4, SMC-1 and EMC-1 motor controllers. The kit includes the hand unit, wrist strap, lanyard and one simple focus ring.

Three axles - all inclusive
The WCU-4 Wireless Compact Unit combines three-axis lens control with lens data display in a compact and ergonomic package. At approximately 780 grams including battery, it is one of the lightest handheld remotes in its class, providing unrivaled comfort during a long day's work.

ALEXA Remote Control
An optional software license will allow you to remotely control all ALEXA Plus type cameras except ALEXA HD Plus. This includes adjusting frame rate, shutter angle, exposure index, false colors on monitor output, etc. Advanced camera status information is also available, allowing you to quickly check camera settings at any time.

Vibration markers
Tactile vibration feedback allows you to follow the action in the most demanding situations. Operators can focus on the scene knowing that the hand unit will vibrate to let them know when focus markers have been reached.

Backlit focus knob Ultra-smooth knob
The focus knob contains a built-in light source that shines through the wide focus ring with optional low-light markings, ensuring clearly legible focus marks at all times. The focus knob friction can be easily adjusted to personal preference without any tools.

Easy to read lens data display 
The large 3-inch display shows clearly organized, easy-to-read lens and camera information, as well as data from optional ultrasonic distance measuring devices. Transflective display technology ensures perfect readability in all ambient lighting conditions.

marked focus rings The lens scales can be mapped to a set of high-quality pre-marked focus rings in metric or imperial scale.

Focus tracking 
The WCU-4 user button can be configured to activate focus tracking by setting the focus motor to continuously track the subject with the ultrasonic rangefinder. Focus tracking works with the ARRI UDM-1 ultrasonic rangefinder and the UMC-4 Universal Motor Controller.

Personalized settings
Various parameters of the WCU-4 can be customized to your liking. These include display layout, vibration patterns, and a programmable custom button, to name a few. You can save your preferred settings to an SD card, allowing you to immediately personalize any WCU-4 anywhere in the world.
